Back in April, Sprint announced they would be selling one of the first iPhone killers - the Samsung Instinct. The device is supposed to hit the market in June and it looks like Sprint is taking the gloves off and going to head to head against AT&T and the iPhone with their marketing campaign.

"Finally, an amazing touch screen phone with a network to back it up"

Because Sprint is such a strong company? Or is it because Samsung has a fiercely product-loyal customer base?
Spell it out for me, please.
Well, just to be clear, this post was not intended to indicate that I believe Sprint and Samsung WILL defeat the iPhone. In fact, Sprint is in really bad shape and although Samsung is a strong brand, they are nowhere close to Apple in brand loyalty.
Having said that, the iPhone has some drawbacks and brand aside, other manufacturers on other networks can provide a superior product.
This is a lot different than the mp3 player market where no one has come close to offering a product even equal to the iPod.
