iPhone Game Review - Doodle Jump

The guys at Lima Sky recently released their latest iPhone game, Doodle Jump. I spent some time tonight playing it and I have to say it's pretty addictive.

Doodle Jump is a fun platform jumping game that is very simple to learn. You control the doodle (see picture) and move the phone back and forth to maneuver him to jump on the platforms to get higher and higher.

As you jump higher and higher, the platforms start moving, the monsters start appearing and the game gets progressively more challenging.

The game is pretty tough and I wasn't able to get too far but the developers tell me that eventually you will run into UFOs that will abduct you unless you shoot them first, black holes that will suck you in if you get too close, and various monsters that you need to kill.

Along your way up, you will see markers on the side of the screen indicating how high other players of Doodle Jump around the world have managed to get to.

Lima Sky is a New York based multimedia agency dedicated to creating well designed iPhone apps, with a special focus on fun apps for kids. Six of their apps have been featured by Apple on the App Store and many are constantly in the top 25 of their categories, with Animals Memory Match reaching the #2 spot in kids games category in the US and #1 spot in Germany.

Doodle Jump is one worth checking out and can be downloaded from iTunes for $.99 by clicking here.
