Here's a fun game to download to your iPhone or iPod touch if you have young children - MemoryMania.
Based on the traditional memory game that we all played as kids, MemoryMania combines two different games - the classic memory match where you have a set of cards and you turn over 2 at a time to try to clear the board as fast as possible and a hide-and-seek game where you first look at a set of cards and then they all get turned over and you are presented one card and you try to remember where it is in the set.
Pretty basic game mechanism, and I'm sure there are lots of other memory-type games on the App Store. What makes MemoryMania fun is that there are 20 different sets of cards to choose from (various animals, flags, people, aliens, etc.) so you're not going to get bored quickly.
In addition, there are 3 different levels of difficulty based on the players skill level. For beginners, there are 12 cards and the highest level has 30 cards so as the description says "a game for kids between the ages of 3 and 103".
The game has great graphics and sound and the kids I've shown it to over the last few days have liked it a lot. Give it a look on the AppStore if you're looking for a fun (and educational) game.
